Greek Philosophy, Emotion, and Classical Education

Current Research

My primary research area is Socratic Studies, with a focus on emotion and moral formation in the works of Plato and Xenophon. More broadly, I draw on ancient emotion theory and cognitive studies as lenses for interpreting classical philosophy within its historical and intellectual contexts. My current projects will culminate in my first monograph: Emotion in Socratic Education: A Study in Plato and Xenophon.
